First Day of Maternity Leave
Tomorrow is my first day of maternity leave. I figure I am getting pretty close and don't want anything to happen in the classroom. I am pretty sure my students would really panic. However, it was very sweet today. A few students brought in a gift for me or the baby. Others wrote a quick message in a note for me. My students wrote advise about having a baby. It is really funny how some kids really think. I had a student write, "Boys really eat a lot." Another wrote, "Babies control your life." It was really neat and funny to see their thoughts.

Those are some wonderful words of wisdom from your students about having a baby. "They control your life" How old are your students? I hope they remember their own advise in the future. My husband teaches high school in North Philly and they don't seem to understand that concept.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
My students are fourth graders and it was a really fun year. Their advise seems like it might have been something they were told. However, it was still really neat.
